Church Working Party & The Church Garden

Thank you to all those who have given so much time and effort over the past year to help with all those little jobs that often go unnoticed. Working Parties run on Wednesday mornings from 9.00.a.m. until 12 noon -  and if you would like to help please talk to one of the churchwardens.

All Saints' School Website

All Saints' School now has its own website which gives in-depth information about the school and all that is going on there with the children.  The school pages will continue on this site, but will be more general in their approach.  Visit the site by clicking here

Website Update

This Website is updated at least once a week - usually on a Sunday. If you have any items for inclusion - or any ideas or suggestions for the site - please see one of the Wardens, Father Christopher or Chris Maurice.  Additionally if you spot any broken links or errors could you please let us know.

The Cedar of Lebanon

1st Reading: - Ezekiel 17: 22-24. I make low trees grow.

Psalm 91  'It is good to give you thanks, O Lord.'

2nd Reading: - 2 Corinthians 5: 6-10   Whether we are living in the body or exiled from it, we are intent on pleasing the Lord.

Gospel: - Mark 4: 26-34   It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet it grows into the biggest shrub of them all.

Working Party

The P.C.C. are reminded that there will be a meeting of the Council next Sunday after Mass at 12.45 in the church hall.

School Summer Fair

This is to be held on the Haydons Road site next Saturday 23rd June  12 noon - 3.00 pm

This year, to further improve the links between school and church, All Saints' Church will again be running a Cake Stall at the Fair, with the profits split 50/50 between church and school. If you would be willing to help on the stall, or to make some cakes to sell on it, please see Jenny.

'K.F.C' Quiz - Saturday 7th July

The Quiz will start at 6.00  and finish about 9.00 pm

Cost will be £7 - 00 per head for 2 pieces of chicken with regular fries or £3 - 00 per head for those who will not be eating.

Get together a Team of 6 - 8 : Come along and join in the fun.

For further information, please have a word with Patrick.

The food has to be ordered in advance - so there will be a list at the back of the church for people to 'sign up' if they are coming. You will find it out on the table from Sunday 17th June.

'Open Fridays'

Every Friday the church is open from 9.00.a.m. - 12 noon for coffee, to light a candle or just to sit quietly.  There is also a 'Nearly New' table with a variety of interesting items for sale. All welcome.

There is also access to the garden area which has recently become part of the 'Quiet Garden Movement'

Monday Lunches

Beginning at at 12.30.p.m., the cost is £1.50 and for this you get a mug of soup, a cheese & pickle roll and a piece of fruit.  Anyone is welcome so why not give it a try!

June News

The June News is published now.  It is full of interesting articles as well as news for  the coming days and weeks. Please pick up your copy from the back of the church.

Prayer List

The recent changes in the law regarding Data Protection means that we can no longer publish names of the sick.  However, they can still be prayed for verbally and we will always pray in church every Sunday and during the week for those who have asked for our prayers.
