Please put your donations in the Lent Box which is on the table at the back of the church. It will be opened on the Sunday after Easter - 8th April. If you are a tax payer please take an envelope to use for the whole Lent, and fill in the form for the Diocese to claim back the tax paid on your Lent Call donations. (Envelopes should be put in the collection bag as the slot in the box is too small to take them .)
Working Party as usual this week at 9.00.a.m.
Electoral Roll Revision
The revision of our Church Electoral Roll takes place from 25th February - 25th March, after which it will be closed until after the Annual Parochial Church Meeting on Sunday 15th April.
You must be on the roll to stand for election - as a Sidesperson, or on the PCC - and only those on the Church Electoral Roll may vote at the APCM. But there are no 'strings'! If you are a regular worshipper, baptised, aged 16 and over, and are not already on the Church Electoral Roll, you can get a form from Pauline Brooking, our Electoral Roll Officer - who will also be pleased to answer any questions.
After the APCM, the number on our roll has to be sent to the Diocese, which gives them an indication of the strength of our church - so we hope that all those entitled to go on the roll will want to do so. (Those already on the roll do not need to fill in another form - but please let Pauline know if you have changed your address.)
Every Friday the church is open from 9.00.a.m. - 12 noon for coffee, to light a candle or just to sit quietly. There is also a 'Nearly New' table with a variety of interesting items for sale. All welcome.
There is also access to the garden area which has recently become part of the 'Quiet Garden Movement'
Beginning at at 12.30.p.m., the cost is £1.50 and for this you get a mug of soup, a cheese & pickle roll and a piece of fruit. Anyone is welcome so why not give it a try!
The March News is published now. It is full of interesting articles as well as news for the coming days and weeks. It also contains details of all our Holy Week and Easter services. Please pick up your copy from the back of the church.
